About the Event: What started as a grassroots effort, spearheaded by Dr. Cameron Laboret, has grown into a Thanksgiving Tradition for hundreds of families. Each year more than 1,000 runners and walkers cross our finish line, and they bring their loved ones to cheer them on. With a 5K, a Fun Run/Walk, and our Kid Zone, we have something for everyone! While the race has grown in size over the years, we continue to keep the grassroots feel to our Gobble Hobble, which creates a fun and welcoming environment for the people doing their first 5K and their cheerleaders. For competitive runners, we have an “elite runner corrale” at the start line to help you achieve your desired time.
can my 5 year old participate in a stroller in the 5k?
Yes! We’ve had participants with strollers participate each year.
do yall give out completation certificate for finishing the run and number on ur shirt
We haven’t given out completion certificates to each runner. The numbers are on the bibs, not the actual shirt. If you’re talking about number, as in rank, we haven’t done that before, either. Interesting ideas, though!
yes that is what i am talking about the bib number the reason i ask this is my first and hopefully of many 5k i would just like to have something that has my finish time on it. It can be written on my bib just so i know i finish the 5k. so i can try and beat the time next time
Ah! So you’re okay with writing your time on your bib yourself? We post the times on-site after the event for everyone to see. That’s a great idea!
My daughters soccer team is wanting to participate as team for this event? Is there a discount for mulipte entries, or should I just have them register individually? There are 15 girls on the team plus several family members.

Are strollers allowed on the 5K? Also where are your group rates? My coworkers would like to do this run as a team.
We have several groups wanting to register this year, which makes our Gobble Hobble even more exciting!
Due to these requests, we are setting up our group rates. We’ll post the link/directions as soon as we finalize the process (very very soon!).
We do allow strollers on the 5K route.

My family wants to do the Family Run/Walk and I want to do the 5K. If I buy the family pack, can I run the 5K?
Yes!
Do we need to pay for children under 5? What size tshirts do you have for children? Can we take wagons/strollers on the fun run?
We have limited youth sizes, but none that would fit a 5-year-old. Yes, strollers are permitted. I imagine a wagon on the fun run is fine, as well. Our turkey crew doesn’t recall seeing a wagon before, but that doesn’t mean it’s not ok! Because this is a charity event, we ask that anyone participating (walking or running) in the event register as a participant. If you’re pushing your little one in the stroller (or pulling in a wagon), though, we won’t ask that you register him/her.
I registered tonight, 11/1/12. The registration fees on your website are listed as: Registration Fees:
Adult Registration: $22 until November 1st; $30 – November 2-16; and $35 on Race Day
Child Registration: $17 until November 1st; $20 – November 2-16; and $25 on Race Day
However, I was charged $30 for the adult fee and $20 for the child fee. According to the above, I should have been charged $22 for the adult, $17 for the child.
How can I get this fixed? There is no number to call. Please email me or call me ASAP.

Will there be activities for anyone wishing to support the participates while they wait for the race to finish?
Yes! We have a kidzone, with bounce houses and balloon artists. We also have a DJ who is entertaining!
I wanted to register 3 adults and 1 child for the 5K but every time I tried to register my 8 year old it would just kick it back only register him as an adult, I also tried to register on Nov. 1 and it wouldn’t give me the early registration fee, only the regular fee, so after trying for over an hour I just decided that I wouldn’t participate this year due to all the difficulties I encountered. We really enjoyed the run the last time and we really wanted to run it again this year, but it’s too much of a headache to register and I know it wasn’t like this the last time. Maybe it has to do with using active.com to register, either way, we’ll have to miss it this year.
