Many thanks go to our 2014 Chief Level Sponsors!

dalrichVillageLogoAbout the Event: What started as a grassroots effort, spearheaded by Dr. Cameron Laboret, has grown into a Thanksgiving Tradition for hundreds of families. Each year more than 1,000 runners and walkers cross our finish line, and they bring their loved ones to cheer them on. With a 5K, a Fun Run/Walk, and McLauchan, Adamson and Assoc Logoour Kid Zone, we have something for everyone! While the race has grown in size over the years, we continue to keep the grassroots feel to our Gobble Hobble, which creates a fun and welcoming environment color_HPC LOGO flattened sm_2.5x.84@100dpifor the people doing their first 5K and their cheerleaders. For competitive runners, we have an “elite runner corrale” at the start line to help you achieve your desired time. Libby & Kris OliverThe Gobble Hobble’s registration fees are comparatively low, and we offer family packages in order to encourage more participation. Our sponsors help increase proceeds, which benefit The Counseling Place, a 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization.

Girls on the Run provides a huge presence at our Gobble Hobble. We thank them for their energy and enthusiasm. Our event wouldn’t be the same (or as fun) without them!

Cannot wait to run in this event again. I have ran it the last 4 years and hope that it continues as one of the premier races for the area and running community. It truly is one of the best 5K’s in the Dallas area, everything from the tech shirts, the expo, the race day experience, and the actual race course itself! Thanks so much for organizing this every year!

  2. gobblehobble says:

Hmmmm. We’ll add that to our suggestion box! Turk. Has a nice ring to it.

  3. gobblehobble says:

Yes, we do. We have all age divisions available in the subcategory under Registration Information. http://gobblehobble.com/?page_id=90

  4. gobblehobble says:

Yes, dogs can join our event. See the FAQ/Tips page for more information.

  5. Marylin Butorac says:

Is this event dog friendly? Thanks.

  6. Margaret Isom says:

Do you have 1st , 2nd and 3rd place ranks for age divisions. What are your age divisions if you do?

  7. Andrea Barclay says:

In celebrating your Turkey’s 8th Birthday, I like the name “The Turk” or just plain old “TURK” for him.

  8. Tiffany says:

It says you can pick up your packet at the health and safety expo. When and where is that?

  9. gobblehobble says:

    Karla,
I’m glad we could work this out. The turkeys really wanted you back!

  10. gobblehobble says:

Please email racedirector@gobblehobble.net for this information.

  11. Bethany says:

What constitutes as a group? How mnay people need to be in for the group rate?

  12. karla says:

I wanted to register 3 adults and 1 child for the 5K but every time I tried to register my 8 year old it would just kick it back only register him as an adult, I also tried to register on Nov. 1 and it wouldn’t give me the early registration fee, only the regular fee, so after trying for over an hour I just decided that I wouldn’t participate this year due to all the difficulties I encountered. We really enjoyed the run the last time and we really wanted to run it again this year, but it’s too much of a headache to register and I know it wasn’t like this the last time. Maybe it has to do with using active.com to register, either way, we’ll have to miss it this year.

  13. gobblehobble says:

Yes! We have a kidzone, with bounce houses and balloon artists. We also have a DJ who is entertaining!

  14. Amber Nobles says:

Will there be activities for anyone wishing to support the participates while they wait for the race to finish?

  15. gobblehobble says:

We have limited youth sizes, but none that would fit a 5-year-old. Yes, strollers are permitted. I imagine a wagon on the fun run is fine, as well. Our turkey crew doesn’t recall seeing a wagon before, but that doesn’t mean it’s not ok! Because this is a charity event, we ask that anyone participating (walking or running) in the event register as a participant. If you’re pushing your little one in the stroller (or pulling in a wagon), though, we won’t ask that you register him/her.

  16. gobblehobble says:

We will get on the active network site and figure out what happened, and work out the price discrepancy with you.

  17. Samantha says:

PS_ I registered at 8.30PM CST on 11/1. When I just posted this comment above, it time stamped it 11/2 at 1.36am. I am not in that time zone. Please review ASAP.

  18. Samantha says:

I registered tonight, 11/1/12. The registration fees on your website are listed as: Registration Fees:
Adult Registration: $22 until November 1st; $30 – November 2-16; and $35 on Race Day
Child Registration: $17 until November 1st; $20 – November 2-16; and $25 on Race Day

However, I was charged $30 for the adult fee and $20 for the child fee. According to the above, I should have been charged $22 for the adult, $17 for the child.

How can I get this fixed? There is no number to call. Please email me or call me ASAP.

    Thank you.

  19. Kristine says:

Do we need to pay for children under 5? What size tshirts do you have for children? Can we take wagons/strollers on the fun run?

  20. gobblehobble says:

    Yes!

  21. gobblehobble says:

Bill, thanks for contacting us. We use Greenlight Apparel for our event shirts.

  22. Family Member says:

My family wants to do the Family Run/Walk and I want to do the 5K. If I buy the family pack, can I run the 5K?

  23. My name is Bill McDaniel with Texas T-Shirt Co. in Frisco Texas. Is it too late or is there a possibility we could give you a competitive bid on the T-Shirts for this years gobblehobble ? Bill

  24. gobblehobble says:

We have several groups wanting to register this year, which makes our Gobble Hobble even more exciting!
Due to these requests, we are setting up our group rates. We’ll post the link/directions as soon as we finalize the process (very very soon!).
We do allow strollers on the 5K route.

  25. Christi says:

Are strollers allowed on the 5K? Also where are your group rates? My coworkers would like to do this run as a team.

  26. gobblehobble says:

    We do have group rates!

  27. gobblehobble says:

Ah! So you’re okay with writing your time on your bib yourself? We post the times on-site after the event for everyone to see. That’s a great idea!

  28. Kellie says:

My daughters soccer team is wanting to participate as team for this event? Is there a discount for mulipte entries, or should I just have them register individually? There are 15 girls on the team plus several family members.

    Thanks!!

  29. timothy mccarty says:

yes that is what i am talking about the bib number the reason i ask this is my first and hopefully of many 5k i would just like to have something that has my finish time on it. It can be written on my bib just so i know i finish the 5k. so i can try and beat the time next time

  30. gobblehobble says:

We haven’t given out completion certificates to each runner. The numbers are on the bibs, not the actual shirt. If you’re talking about number, as in rank, we haven’t done that before, either. Interesting ideas, though!

  31. gobblehobble says:

Yes! We’ve had participants with strollers participate each year.

  32. timothy mccarty says:

do yall give out completation certificate for finishing the run and number on ur shirt

  33. Samantha says:

can my 5 year old participate in a stroller in the 5k?
